The hull of the remarkable, wood-reinforced Merrimack canoe is hand-built using the finest carbon-fiber, Kevlar and fiberglass fabrics. It is then reinforced the old-fashioned way, with solid wood ribs of select cherry. The result is a very strong, but lightweight canoe that is as much a pleasure to look at as it is a pleasure to paddle.
